If only I could be young
A timeless piece of history
If only I would be strung
In the God’s heart so blissfully
If only time would not change
And the world no longer wither
If only time would be the same
And history not be so bitter
If only things did not grow old
And not die like the leaves in winter
If only death did not have hold
And its pain in the world not enter
If only ever beautiful thing of mine
Stayed priceless forever a diamond
If only nature’s beauty was mine
My life’s ascent needed no climbin
If only life was everlasting
Like the dreams of old and youth
But unfortunately it is passing
And death becomes its final truth
